Hey interesting...I never really thought the emboss filter had much use. Apart from just a paper texture, I think that with a few modifications it could be used for many kinds of rough surfaces (sandstone for instance). Also, I think I might be able to use something like this as part of a displacement map for a 3D landscape. Thanks for the inspirations :>

You're welcome. :) And yeah, the emboss filter can be used to make quite a few interesting textures. I've been playing around with it and it's amazing how varied (and actually useful!) results you can get with only clouds and emboss.
